I think the colors are

Class Act Fabrics
...Other fabrics...
Fabricmonger to
the Crowns of the West Kingdom, SCA
Here reside cottons, rayon,
ramie, tencel, polyesters, acetates....or possibly
something I haven't thought about yet.
Even though cottons, ramie, hemp and other plant
fibers are "period" I've put them all on this page. There are period patterns
and weaves of acetates here also, and very interesting "GLITZ".
This page is a mix of interesting, eclectic fabrics that I couldn't
resist buying for one reason or another. I hope you find them as intriguing as I do.
I've worked on the colors of the swatches
to try to
match the original fabric as close as possible. However, the brain seems to see
colors differently than the camera.....sigh.

#371
57" 100% cotton lawn
This came from the factory with a hangtag on the roll saying it is "100%
cotton lawn". This also has a slight weft stretch. Due to some laws
somewhere, this can be labeled all cotton. However, it is a beautiful piece
of cotton, with a lovely surface and a joy to fondle. I think the
'non-existent something or other" in this makes it perfect for a sharp
blouse or heirloom sewing project for an active child! (and the price is
right!)

Example of the two tapestries to the right. This color sold out.
A striking design. This has a black warp and colored weft, the main color of
which is a chenille thread imitating velvet. This is surprisingly light
weight!
It would make a lovely gown, skirt, frontspiece/panel or coat but as with
all plastics, don't get your sleeve in a candle flame! This color
sold out but the picture is so good I just had to leave it. |
